I'm so excited. We participated in Disney's Give a Day, Get a Day promotion. I had looked for an opportunity a few weeks ago and had trouble finding something that we could do as a family. Many of the volunteer options seemed to be geared towards older children, but then I found Treasures for Teachers. It's a wonderful organization that helps teachers across AZ gain access to supplies at a greatly reduced price.
This opportunity can be done as a group project or family project. You will NOT need to come to Treasures 4 Teachers to complete this activity as it is considered a self organized activity.
Each person that is involved in this activity will create one "Treasure Box Kit" for a teacher.
Teachers are not appreciated enough and by having this opportunity to provide them with a "Treasure Box Kit" will show community support and appreciation, in addition to saving them money that they have to spend out of their own pocket.
Each person will create a personalized kit for a teacher.
Choose a plastic shoe box (teachers love these) or similiar sized box.
Fill it with items teachers can use such as pencils, sharpeners, erasers, dry erase markers, pens, stickers and any other surprises you would like to include.
Please enclose a personalized card sharing your appreciation for them being a teacher.
Wrap the box like a present and deliver to Treasures 4 Teachers, 2127 South Priest Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282 any Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday between 10-5.
Once the kits are delivered we will verify your service.
ONLY ONE PERSON NEEDS TO DELIVER THE KITS, BUT WE WILL NEED THE NAMES OF EACH PERSON THAT COMPLETED ONE WHEN THEY ARE DROPPED OFF.
